The Bureau seeks local and national artists work for it’s inaugural Open Arts Exhibition. This showcase will be free to enter and will hold categories for children, beginners and advanced levels. There will be a cash prize available for the winner in each category.


Submissions are needed for The Bureau Centre for the Arts exhibition, which will be held within the 250 year old Georgian disused church, situated in the centre of Blackburn.


The will be a broad spectrum of medium that includes



Photography and other lens based media


Craft and textiles




The deadline for entries will be the 11 March and the work needs to be delivered by the 14 March. The exhibition opening night will be 17 March. This will be a two week exhibition ending on the 31st March and the prizewinners will be notified at the end of the exhibition.


Resident artist at The Bureau, Sonny J. Barker said that he is excited at the prospect of showcasing local and national artists at different levels within the centre that was just formed quite recently. I’ll be intrigued in what artworks we will be receiving and looking forward to the exhibition itself.
